A PR kit is opened in front of a camera. That makes order, contrast and material matter more than in ordinary retail, and means the number of parts has to stay under control.

What a PR kit usually contains

An outer box, often rigid with a magnetic lid for a filmable opening.
An insert holding product and samples in fixed positions.
A printed card or folder with product information.
Tissue, a sticker or ribbon as a final detail.

Designing for photo and film

Matt surfaces reflect less under studio light, while gloss lamination and foil need more deliberate lighting. Contrast between the box interior and the product makes the product read better. We avoid placing important information at the base under the product, since it rarely appears on camera.

Volume, packing and dispatch

PR kits are often produced in smaller series, which makes digital print and simpler tooling more suitable. Packing can happen at the supplier, at a warehouse or with you. VyPack coordinates production and can coordinate packing and dispatch, while transport is carried out by a forwarder or carrier.

MOQ around 250-300 units; smaller series can be handled with simpler structures.
Lead time normally 6-8 weeks after confirmed design.
Plan campaign dates backwards from delivery, not forwards from production start.

Frequently asked questions

Can you produce small series?: Yes, but the structure needs adapting. Simpler boxes and digital print make low volumes more reasonable.
Can the kit be personalised per recipient?: Yes, usually through a digitally printed card or label rather than a unique box.
How is the kit protected in transit?: With an outer transport carton and insert. A PR kit should not ship as the only packaging.
Can you help with the printed content?: We can adapt and lay out simpler printed material from your existing brand assets.
