Material and adhesive

Paper: matt or uncoated, easiest to recycle with the packaging.
Film: resists moisture and abrasion, used for chilled, frozen and cosmetics.
Permanent adhesive for information, removable for closures meant to be opened.
Adhesive is chosen for the surface: laminated, uncoated paper or corrugated.

Roll or sheet

Rolls are required for machine application and are more efficient even for manual packing at higher volumes. Sheets suit small series, gift closures and campaigns. For rolls, unwind direction, core size and labels per roll must be specified to match the equipment.

Shape, print and finish

Round and rectangular shapes with rounded corners are cheapest since standard dies can be used. Bespoke shapes need tooling. Foil, spot UV and emboss work on labels but need clearance from the edge; too close and registration variance becomes visible.

MOQ around 250-300 units, often more depending on material and shape.
Lead time normally 6-8 weeks after confirmed design.
Barcodes need a flat area, quiet zone and sufficient contrast.

Frequently asked questions

Which adhesive works on laminated boxes?: Laminated surfaces need stronger adhesive, especially soft-touch. We test against your actual surface before production.
Can the label come off without damaging the box?: With removable adhesive, usually yes. Permanent adhesive generally tears the surface layer.
Do I need different labels per market?: Often yes for statutory information. A neutral main label plus a language-specific label is a common solution.
Can you print variable data?: Yes, numbering, batch codes and QR codes can be printed digitally in the same run.
