Ways to create difference

• Change the wrapping paper to a speciality stock with clear texture.
• Add foil, emboss or blind emboss on a clean area.
• Number the edition digitally on a card or label.
• Keep the same tooling and change only print and finish.

Numbering and traceability

Digitally printed numbering on a card, label or interior is simplest and cheapest. Numbering directly on the wrapping paper requires a separate digital pass and increases scrap risk. We recommend deciding the numbering series and format early so the supplier can plan for it.

Cost and volume

Speciality materials and extra finishing raise the unit price while volumes are often low. A common way to contain cost is to keep the standard box structure and put the entire difference into print, foil and accessories. Tooling cost is then avoided entirely.

Conditions

• MOQ around 250-300 units; speciality materials may carry their own minimums.
• Lead time normally 6-8 weeks after confirmed design, longer for unusual materials.
• Order a sample when foil and emboss combine; the surface is hard to judge digitally.
